1. Introduction
Welcome to Camus House. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services and facilities. By booking a room or using our services, you agree to abide by these terms. Our property is a family home with a four-bedroom guest house, and we strive to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for all our guests.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1. Reservations must be made via our booking page on our website or via email. 2.2. Full payment or a deposit may be required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. 2.3. We accept payment by credit/debit card, bank transfer only, No Cash held on the premises.
3. Check-in and Check-out
3.1. Check-in time is from 3PM. Early check-in is subject to availability & notice. 3.2. Check-out time is 10 AM. Late check-outs will incur additional charges.
4. Cancellation and No-Show Policy
4.1. Cancellations made more than 2 days before the arrival date are eligible for a full/partial refund (as per policy stated on our bookings page). 4.2. Cancellations made within 1 day of arrival are non-refundable. 4.3. No-shows will be charged the full amount of the booking. 4.4. Any changes to reservations must be communicated in writing.
5. House Rules
5.1. As this is a family home, we expect all guests to maintain a respectful atmosphere. 5.2. No excessive noise, parties, or disruptive behaviour is permitted. 5.3. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the guest house. A designated smoking area is available, please ask. 5.4. Pets are not allowed as we have 2 dogs in the family. 5.5. Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property during their stay and will be charged accordingly, there is a price list for missing & broken items in the room. Please read this thoroughly.
6. Liability and Insurance
6.1. We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings in our around the guest house or the property. 6.2. Guests must ensure they have appropriate travel insurance for their stay. 6.3. While we take all necessary precautions, we are not liable for any injury, accident, or illness that occurs during your stay.
7. Privacy Policy
7.1. We respect your privacy and only collect personal information necessary for processing bookings. 7.2. Your data will not be shared with third parties except where required by law.
8. Force Majeure
8.1. We are not responsible for cancellations or service disruptions due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, power outages, pandemics).
9. Complaints and Disputes
9.1. Any complaints should be made in writing to accounts@camushouseonich.com 9.2. We aim to resolve disputes amicably; however, legal disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Scottish courts.
10. Breakfast Hamper Baskets
10.1 A complimentary Breakfast Hamper Basket is included with all standard room bookings. If you opt for a cooked breakfast at The Onich Hotel, the hamper will not be provided on that day unless otherwise requested. Should you wish to receive the hamper as a take-away option on a cooked breakfast day, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the provision of the hamper without this notice.
10.2 For bookings made within 48 hours of arrival, some items in the Breakfast Hamper Basket may not be sourced from Farine Bakery, as their products require advance ordering. In such cases, suitable alternatives will be provided.
11. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
11.1. We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. 10.2. Guests will be notified of any significant changes before their arrival.
